WIN: 1 Year’s Subscription To Knitting Magazine (UK)

I got an e-mail from Knitting Magazine this week praising our work for The Pink Pom-Pom Project and all that we do in our community in the UK. They want to get involved and especially give back and help by offering a year’s subscription to one lucky winner as a fabulous New Year’s gift!

From NOW until 15th January 2012 and in order to WIN THIS FABULOUS PRIZE, we want to hear from YOU – our readers – about how you are involved in your communities, how you help others, if you have been a volunteer or help the elderly or children from impoverished situations, if you work with cancer patients on a day in and day out basis, or if you help a family member through a difficult time – all stories are welcome! It’s all about volunteering!!!

I know the importance of taking up a craft, especially knitting. If I hadn’t started knitting again whilst undergoing cancer treatment in October last year, The Pink Pom-Pom Project, my charity, would never have been started!!!

So PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, write us a paragraph or a a few pages of how you have helped one or many in your communities, clinics, hospital or homes and how you have made a difference!

Send all inquiries and entries to Alex at alex@stayabreast.co.uk

I am new to knitting and bought a beginner’s kit to knit three cat toys for my kitties. However, the directions are so confusing. It came with a dvd and I have been using the dvd and the written instructions but it is very unclear as to whether I am to do the English or Continental style. Does it matter? What is the difference?.
