Making A List And Checking It Thrice: It’s The S&B Party Next Week!

Stitch & BItch Party - Next Week!

O-M-G!!!! I am so freaked out! I am so excited, next week I am hosting the first ever Stitch & Bitch party for The Pink Pom Pom Project. This isn’t the first parade for The PPPP, we’ve already done The Knitting Circle, several Pom Pom Parties, The KCWC’s Fashion Fayre crafting clinics, and countless informational seminars for the PPPP Boxes, so why am I so freaked out? Because this particular event it is about women empowering women!!!!

We are women coming together to Stitch and Bitch! and together we find strength, comfort and reassurance that we are not ever alone in this fight against Breast Cancer. We are here as a unified front, our very own crafting for comfort community and in the name of our sisters. We are here to make a difference and to bring life back into one of the loneliest places a woman can find herself in! So Buh-Bye to BC, you can’t bring us down!

Ooooooh! and the activities we have planned are so fabulous! We have Knitting and Crocheting; Dream Pillows, Suffolk Puffs accessories and Pin Cushions; and my favourite of all are the Community Quilting Pillows AND the Volunteer of the Year Comfort quilt. All of the finished products will be wrapped, signed with a personal card from its creator and given to a Breast Cancer patient at either The Haven, Macmillan Cancer Support Centre and The London Oncology Clinic.

I am making a list and checking it thrice, no details will be overlooked! Even the cupcakes have a purpose! We have asked Buttercup Cake Shop to help in this cause and they will provide vouchers for a ‘sale’ day in their shops in October, Breast Cancer Awareness month, where 15% of all sales made form our group will go directly to our beneficiary charities! Woo Hoo! Thank you Buttercup Cake Shops!!!

MY PARTY DUTY LIST OF LISTS:

1) Invitations sent – check

2) Goodies ordered – check

3) Fabrics and materials ordered – check check

4) First Prize for the most productive Volunteer at the S&B party – check check check!

AND TO ALL OF MY READERS – WE NEED YOU! If you are interested in throwing your own Stitch & Bitch party, The PPPP will provide the projects to be made for BC patients, all you need to do is make the commitment and pick a date!!!!! So it’s time to get involved! Call 07957 748 616 or write alex@stayabreast.co.uk for further info!

Watch this space next week for the best party thrown ever!!!!!

  1. Sounds fab and I LOVE the name ‘stich and bitch’ – unfortunately I’m useless at stitching but could do the bitching bit! x

C’mon Clare! You can do it, you can make a suffolk puff or even a dream pillow for a sister! And to become a hostess, all you really need to be is the ‘Delegator’!
